I grew up in Orlando, Florida, surrounded by a community, church, and family that lived out generosity as a way of life. My father was one of the most generous people I’ve ever known—not just with his resources, but with his heart. His giving was deeply relational, rooted in his faith and love for others. Watching him serve and give so freely left a lasting imprint on me.

When he passed away, I found myself at a crossroads. I wanted to honor his legacy, but I also knew I needed to discover my own unique expression of generosity—one that reflected who God created me to be. God does not ask us to give of ourselves until He fills us to overflowing with what He’s asking us to give.

Finding My Place in a Generous Community

Meeting Julie Wilson was a divine appointment. Through her, I found Women Doing Well, a community of faith-driven women who were also on a journey to discover God’s design for their giving. That connection reignited something in me—a sense of purpose, joy, and freedom in generosity. In this community, I learned to give spontaneously and authentically, without comparison or pressure. It was freeing. I’m now on fire with joy! It’s truly an overflow rather than trying to scrap for a little energy to be generous.

Embracing My Unique Design

One of the most beautiful revelations in this journey has been understanding that generosity isn’t one-size-fits-all. God created each of us uniquely, and that includes how we give. For me, acting and theater have become platforms to inspire others—to encourage them to embrace their own calling and give in ways that align with their purpose and passions. I started realizing just how unique and special and diverse we all are, not only with how we give and where we give, but in the way we were created uniquely to give.

Walking in Purpose, Led by the Spirit

My generosity is Spirit-led and deeply personal. Every day, I pray, “Compel me or constrain me according to Your will.” That simple prayer helps me stay aligned with God’s direction. Whether I’m on stage or in my community, I want to be faithful with the influence He’s given me. This journey has reminded me of the truth in Matthew 11:30—“For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” And in 2 Corinthians 9:7—“God loves a cheerful giver.”

A Broad Place of Joy

I’m no longer striving to be someone else. I’m walking confidently in who God created me to be. Like Psalm 31:8 says, “You have set my feet in a broad place.” I’m giving from a place of overflow, and it’s my joy to inspire others to do the same.
